Pioneering the genre of magazine fiction and prototyping science fiction, he became one of the first writers, who gained worldwide fame and a large fortune. "Lost Face" is a collection of seven great short stories including "Flush of Gold," "The Passing of Marcus O'Brien," "The Wit of Porportuk," and London's best known tale "To Build a Fire."
