A Daughter of the Snows
Jack London (1876-1916) was an American novelist, journalist and social activist. Pioneering the genre of magazine fiction and prototyping science fiction, he became one of the first writers, who gained worldwide fame and a large fortune. "A Daughter of the Snows" is the author's first novel. It tells the story of strong and self-reliant woman Frona Welse from Yukon, who has problems with the local community because of her manners and dubious friends. While being in love for two at once, she cannot choose between local man Gregory St Vincent, who turns out to be cowardly and treacherous, and mining engineer Vance Corliss.
